Head Coach: Amalia Herashchanka

Amalia (Mali) Herashchanka comes back for her fifth year as a Ridgetop coach! Hailing from Fort Wayne, IN, Mali joined Ridgetop after a four-year career swimming for the University of Richmond, where she completed her undergraduate education in 2014 and her Masters of Education degree in 2018. Mali currently teaches 6th and 7th grade life science at Hungary Creek Middle School and coaches Masters swimming at the Northside YMCA. She has been coaching or giving swim lessons since 2011. Mali can be reached here.

Assistant Coach: Charlie Prideaux

Charlie Prideaux returns for his third year as a Ridgetop coach. Charlie joined the Ridgetop swim team as a pre-teamer and concluded his 13-year career with the team in 2016. Charlie received multiple best attitude and most improved trophies, and was the 2016 recipient of the Holland award, our team’s most prestigious award given annually to the single swimmer who has been the most committed to the ideals of our team. He graduated from Douglas Freeman in 2016 and is a rising senior at Virginia Tech. Charlie can be reached here.

Assistant Coach: Ian Stevenson

Ian Stevenson returns for his second year as a Ridgetop Coach! Ian began swimming when he was 6, began at Ridgetop as a Midget, and completed his Ridgetop swimming career in 2017. Ian has received a few Ridgetop awards: the Older Buddy Award (2015), the High-Point award (2016), and the prestigious Holland award (2017). He graduated Trinity Episcopal school in 2017, where he was on the varsity swim team, and was a mountain biker and whitewater standup paddleboarder in the outdoor club. Ian can be reached here.

Assistant Coach: Schuyler Biltz

Schuyler Biltz returns for her fourth year on our coaching staff! Schuyler joined the RT swim team in 2005 as a pre-teamer and has swam every season since. On top of her numerous Ridgetop Top 10 swims, Schuyler has annually received numbers end-of-the-season awards, including nine High-Point awards, and currently holds 14 team records (7 individual, 7 relays). Beyond her numerous swimming accolades, Schuyler has been a model Ridgetop swimmer: she was the 2014 recipient of Holland Award, our teams highest honor. She is a rising sophomore at Virginia Tech.
