Our last meet of the regular season will be on Monday, July 14, against Three Chopt Recreation Club. The address is 2100 Skipwith Rd; parking instructions are given below. Please arrive by 5:30pm in order to be ready for warmups. This post has been updated with the initial meet lineup and buddy lists. The theme of the meet is “Disney” so please come dressed/decorated as your favorite Disney character!
Please review the list of swimmers who will NOT be attending the meet for accuracy. If you are not attending this meet and your name is not on this list, it is imperative that you email the coach AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Foreseeable last minute cancellations cause disruption of the lineup and buddy list and are disrespectful of your teammates and coaches.
After the Three Chopt meet the coaches will immediately begin working on the lineup for the JRAC Championship, which occurs July 24-25 at the NOVA Aquatics Center. It is extremely important that the coaches know about your availability for the meet, so please check the list of Champs availability and let me know at once if there are any errors.
The Buddy List for the meet has been posted. Although we will try to keep the same buddies as the Kanawha meet, absences will force us to make some changes. Please support your Buddy!
Below is the current meet line-up. Please be aware that last minute cancellations can occur that change the lineup slightly; you will still need to check the line-up posted at the meet when you arrive for warmups. The Novice events at this meet are Freestyle and Butterfly, so those events come first. Note that the order of events at this meet does NOT exactly follow the event number. As always the mite relays are first and the other relays are last.
There will be parking within the Three Chopt pool grounds, as well as up the street at the school and Church. Church parking is only in the front, as they need the back area for their meetings. Please feel free to park right on Skipwith Road, facing Parham Road. Please take caution crossing the street. A police officer will be there to assist if needed. If handicapped parking is needed please let us know how many spots to reserve.
When you enter the pool, please turn left and you will have the left side of the pool for seating, as well as our baby pool area. The Clerk of Course will be located on the upper deck, at the diving boards. The results board will be located next to our front desk and near the entrance to our snack bar and grill.
