Meet #2 Info: Three Chopt @ Ridgetop

Our first home meet of the season will be on Monday, June 16 at 6:30pm. Please arrive by 5:30pm in order to be ready for warmups. This post will be updated with information (meet lineup, buddy lists, etc) so please check back here before the meet.

The theme of the meet is “Superhero” so please come dressed appropriately! Emma has also prepared this meet’s Buddy List. It isn’t always possible to do so, but Emma will attempt to keep the same buddies from the previous meet. The Buddy List will also be posted next to the meet lineup so that you can see what events your buddy is swimming. Support your buddy!

Please review the list of swimmers who will NOT be attending the meet for accuracy. If you are not attending this meet and your name is not on this list, it is imperative that you email the coach AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Below is the current meet line-up. Please be aware that last minute cancellations can occur that change the lineup slightly; you will still need to check the line-up posted at the meet when you arrive for warmups. Also note that the order of events at this meet is slightly different than the event number; the order is IM/Free/Breast/Back/Fly. As always the mite relays are first and the other relays are last.

Even experienced swimmers and swim parents could benefit from reading pages 22-23 in the swim team handbook about swim meet routines and procedures.

Finally, I want to remind you about the various fund-raising activities surrounding the meet that benefit Ridgetop directly:

  • the bake sale has many delicious items;
  • a portion of money spent on the food provided by Quiznos or Kona Ice goes to Ridgetop;
  • we will be holding our first 50/50 raffle during the first half of the meet. Tickets will be available for a dollar each at the bake sale and a volunteer will also be making the rounds. The winner will be announced at the switch during the half; s/he will receive half the cash. The more people buy raffles, the more money the winner receives so spread the word!
